Safeguarding Overview

Safeguarding is central to everything we do, ensuring every learner feels safe, supported and protected while learning, growing and preparing for their future.

Our Safeguarding Approach

At Kingsley Academy, safeguarding is part of daily practice, not a separate process. All staff receive regular training to ensure they remain up to date with safeguarding legislation, guidance and procedures. Recruitment processes are thorough and follow strict checks to confirm suitability to work with young people.

The academy has trained safeguarding leads, including a Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) and Deputy DSLs, who oversee safeguarding procedures and provide guidance to staff. Policies are reviewed frequently and updated in line with national safeguarding guidance, including Keeping Children Safe in Education. Our priority is always the safety, well-being, and protection of every learner.
